A Surdhi Switch Fuse Unit (SFU) is a combined electrical control and protection device that integrates a manual isolating switch with an overcurrent safeguard fuse in a single compact housing.

• The Switch Component: A sturdy, quick-make, quick-break manual mechanism utilizes contacts typically made of silver-plated electrolytic copper. This allows technicians to safely disconnect or connect the incoming power supply intentionally during maintenance or emergencies.
• The Fuse Component: High Rupturing Capacity (HRC) or rewireable fuse links act as a sacrificial barrier. If a short circuit or an overload causes the electric current to spike past the unit's rated 200 Amps, the internal fuse element melts instantly. This completely breaks the electrical circuit and insulates connected commercial or industrial machinery from catastrophic voltage damage

• Open Execution Architecture: These units feature an open framework layout meant to be safely integrated into pre-existing indoor modular control panel cubicles or distribution boards. This design maximizes continuous air circulation to keep components cool and allows engineers to perform instant visual contacts inspections

HRC Fuse Base Compatibility: The fused side incorporates high-grade ceramic/vitreous steatite porcelain bases engineered to secure high-breaking capacity (HRC) cartridge fuses. The design isolates the heat produced during normal load currents and securely contains the explosive energy of a major short-circuit rupture.
