The Surdhi Phase Selector in Sheet Steel Enclosure utilizes heavy-duty cam-operated rotary switches to manually route single-phase loads across an active phase in a 3-phase system. This allows operators to instantly bypass power outages on any single line by rotating the knob to another active phase.

Operate the Selector
- Normal Operation: Turn each of the three rotary switches to their corresponding phase. For example, set one switch to R (Red), the second to Y (Yellow), and the third to B (Blue) to balance the load across all three phases.
- Phase Failure: If a specific phase experiences a power cut (the corresponding LED indicator will go dark), simply turn that switch to one of the other two still-active phases to instantly restore power to that circuit.

- Interior Terminals: Standard configurations come with heavy-duty Bakelite base terminal blocks. Bakelite offers excellent high-temperature insulation, preventing short circuits even if terminal screws loosen and draw an arc.
- Switch Mechanism: The unit utilizes a double-break butt-contact mechanism with silver-plated current-carrying contacts. This lowers electrical resistance, minimises heat build-up, and prevents contacts from fusing during high-load switching.
Electrical & Operational Specifications- Working Voltage: Rated for standard Indian three-phase AC systems operating at 415V AC, 50Hz.
- The "3 Rotary Switch" Configuration: The unit allocates one dedicated 1-Pole 4-Way cam switch to each of your output circuits or building sections (e.g., Switch 1 for Ground Floor, Switch 2 for First Floor, Switch 3 for Second Floor).
- Rotary Positions: Each of the 3 switches has 4 knob positions:
- Position 1 (R): Connects the load to the Red Phase.
- Position 2 (Y): Connects the load to the Yellow Phase.
- Position 3 (B): Connects the load to the Blue Phase.
- Position 4 (OFF): Completely isolates that specific load circuit.
