The Surdhi Single Phasing Preventer is a critical safety device designed to protect three-phase industrial and agricultural motors from burnout caused by phase failures. When a three-phase power supply loses one of its lines, running the motor on the remaining two phases creates excessive heat that can instantly destroy the motor windings. The Surdhi preventer resolves this issue by instantly sensing the abnormality and isolating the motor starter control circuit.

The Surdhi Single Phasing Preventer (available in SDV-VSP-2 terminal type and SDV-VSP-3 pre-wired configurations) utilizes to identify phase abnormalities. Rather than measuring basic line drops, its internal analog/microcontroller circuitry continuously calculates vector asymmetry. If one line fails or drops radically, a stark phase unbalance triggers the output relay to open within milliseconds
